- What is the Supercar Media Syndicate?
- A curated network of automotive photographers and videographers, supercar owners and collectors, and event organizers across the Mid-Atlantic. We review the people who join, and we make introductions between them.
- What does it cost to join?
- Nothing. Requesting an invitation is free, and there's no membership fee for the founding group.
- Do you take a percentage of my work?
- No. Work that comes to you through the Syndicate is yours, and rates are between you and your client. We don't sit in the middle of it.
- Is there a booking or payments system?
- Not today. Introductions are made by a person, and you handle scheduling, contracts and payment directly with the client on your own terms.
- Who can join?
- Photographers and videographers who shoot cars, plus owners, collectors and event organizers. We're focused on the Mid-Atlantic, Pennsylvania and the states around it. If you're further out and the fit is right, tell us anyway.
- Do I need to be a full-time professional?
- No. We look at the work, whether or not it's your day job. Emerging photographers with a strong eye belong on a founding roster.
- How are applications reviewed?
- Someone looks at your portfolio for technical control, consistency across a body of work, and proof you can handle real conditions: bad light, moving cars, crowded paddocks. Follower counts don't come into it.
- How long does a decision take?
- We aim to get back to you within two weeks. If we're slower, it's because we're looking properly rather than skimming.
- What if I'm not accepted?
- We'll tell you, and where we can we'll tell you why. You're welcome to apply again once your portfolio has moved on.
- If I join, who owns my images?
- You do, entirely. Membership gives us no license to your work. If we want to feature one of your photographs here or on social, we ask first and credit you by name.
- I own the car, not the camera. Is this for me?
- Yes. Owners, collectors and racers are half the point. Tell us what you drive and what you want shot, and we'll point you to members whose work fits.
- I run an event. How does this work?
- Get in touch with the date and what you need covered. We'll connect you with members who shoot that kind of event. We list events on this site, but we don't run them or handle registration.
